Living Fuel payments of £600 per household will be made this month
Happy New Year from all on the Disability Action ONSIDE Team!
Some positive news to start 2023.
The Northern Ireland Office has announced that the Household Cost of Living Fuel payments of £600 per household will be made this month.
There are no exact dates for payment as yet, but it’s expected they will start to be made from around the 19th of January, with vulnerable households receiving priority.
We will keep you informed once firmer dates are announced.
You don’t have to do anything, as the payments will be made automatically into your bank account if you pay your bill by direct debit.
Those without direct debits or on prepaid keypad meters will receive a voucher from their supplier that can be deposited into a bank account or credit union, or redeemed in cash at a Post Office when you provide ID, proof of address and a keycard, letter or bill from your supplier.
The money can then be used to pay for ANY household bills or items.
The precise timing of extra payments for low income households or those on disability and other benefits will also be announced later.
If you have any further questions or issues, feel free to contact us.
Once again, best wishes from us all for the New Year.
