I would describe my photographic project like a game of draughts. Moving across the board like we move though life. One move on the board representing a different period in our life e.g. School, University, First Job, Marriage, Children.
The board is divided into two halves.
On one side are the advantages of Disability like, Blue Badge, Free Travel, Queue Jumping or Benefits.
On the other side are the disadvantages of Disability like, Loneliness, Deemed Stupid, Daily Routine, or Daily Medication.
I got the idea of displaying my icons in different colour after seeing a recent sale of a famous picture of Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol in which he portrayed a multiplicity of colours in his picture. A picture that has just been sold for millions!
In my picture I began with white as being the purity of birth and red to finish being the most attractive colour. (According to Google).
We all experience blue periods in our lives in which we are depressed
Yellow periods in which we are happy 😃 Green periods in which we start anew .
Finishing up with red which covers happiness to love 😀
My suggestion to everybody is, What you can do or dream you can do, begin it ! Blindness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it. Begin it now !!! GOETHE
